Raise Your Voice is looking for high school students now!
The Raise Your Voice program is where high school students teach middle school students peer refusal skills. The high school students in this program will be trained Januaury 24 and 25 on how to teach middle school students effectively. After training, the high school students are put into groups based on where they go to school. In these groups students practice their lesson which includes skits, short speeches, visual aids, games, and candy. In March, the high school students will teach their lessons to all sixth graders at Black River, Holland Public and West Ottawa middle schools. Raise Your Voice teaches sixth graders how to say no to everything from stealing to drinking in a way that won’t cost them their friends. We need 35-40 high school students. The high school students will earn about 30 service hours! Please contact
